Consorting with Dragons
Lord Jasen of Grumhul has a gambling problem. Or rather, his father does, but since he has gambled away everything that was rightfully Jasen’s, it’s become his problem, too. His best chance out of genteel poverty is to snag a rich spouse at the royal Court in the Draelands. His courtly manners are terrible and his taste in clothing is too gauche for words, but his stunning good looks ought to snag at least a minor lord.
To his (and everyone else’s) great shock, he immediately grabs the attention of both a powerful dragon and King Rilvor himself. Becoming royalty wasn’t something Jasen either expected or wanted, but he can’t control his growing feelings for kind and handsome king. Scheming factions at Court and his own insecurities conspire to keep him from Rilvor’s side, and now Jasen has to decide if the chance at true love with Rilvor is worth the burden of being the husband of a king.
